Seeing, touching, & smelling real tea leaves, spices, & petals through our tea pyramids is a grounding pleasure. But 15 years ago, I faced a challenge; most pyramid bags were made from nylon.

Determined to find a better alternative, I discovered a supplier in Osaka, Japan, producing a tea pyramid material made from plant-derived PLA and certified for commercial composting. We’ve used this material ever since.

Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond tea pyramids; from Rainforest Alliance certified tea to vegetable ink cartons and now, Carbon Inset certification for our Sri Lankan packer.
