Frankly delicious. Absurdly so.
I like brewing my tea in teapots (on average I use a 2-3 cup pot for reference) and have made a habit of seeing how far I can stretch out the life of a tea bag, especially since I can drink several pots in a sitting while studying. I found I could actually use the teabag three times. For a whole pots worth from one tea bag. I will admit the third brew was slightly weaker but genuinely that may have been improper handling of the teabag at first that caused it because I got a bit flustered along the way.
It doesn’t require any additions, but I found it tasted lovely with a conservative teaspoon of honey per cup.
The taste profile is delicate and genuinely it’s been awhile since a tea has improved my mood.
Only thing I will say- and it’s not on the product, it’s more of a general warning out green tea that would have been handy to know in advance… keep it warm. If you mind bitterness that is. I quite dislike bitterness and prefer sweet mellow teas so got quite a shock when I got distracted and came back to down my cold tea cup and refill it with a fresh warm cup from the kettle, only to find it wasn’t quite so lovely after being left for a few minutes.
I will say again though that after some research I find that that particular note is typical of green teas though. It would be nice to know how temperamental they are in advance.
Still- 5 STARS!
The bundle is great value for money and the tea is so much more flavorsome than the version I was buying from the supermarket. I love the aromas and the beautiful embossed tin that came with the bundle.
It’s absolutely beautiful and a great way to start the day . Very refreshing
One of my favourite afternoon teas
