Grey de Luxe Pyramid 15 (New Pyramid) Refill Pouch

Comforting and familiar, with a hint of home.

A blend of smooth Ceylon and Assam black leaf teas, a pinch of Australian lemon myrtle, subtle bergamot and a sprinkling of lavender.

Refill Pouch - We are trialling a new type of tea pyramid to understand your preference. As with our existing pyramids, the materials are plant-based with a paper tag printed with vegetable ink. The bags contain no polypropylene, and are heat sealed, making them glue and staple free. Commercial composting is recommended over home composting for these pyramids; in a home compost environment the tea pyramid will breakdown over time; quicker in the humid than the cool environment. We recommend bokashi snipping prior to composting.

Our Story

For those who love tradition, my Classic Grey De Luxe is the perfect Earl Grey blend with a delicate twist. I spent many years travelling and experiencing what life has to offer; from the hamlets of Norway to the secrets of New York streets to salsa-dancing through Cuba. Wherever I went in the world, Earl Grey remained my most favourite tea. It was comforting and familiar in the midst of bustling unknown streets along my extensive travels. My Earl Grey is a luxurious mixture of smooth Ceylon and Assam leaf teas, a pinch of Australian lemon myrtle from Northern NSW, and a sprinkling of lavender flowers that will delight the senses. Delicate and perfumed, this pretty blend tastes of gentle times spent with dear friends

Ingredients

Ceylon tea from Greenfield and Cecilyan estates, Assam leaf tea, bergamot flavour, Australian lemon myrtle, lavender

Origin

My favourite Ceylon teas, personally selected based on the favourite seasonal flavours from the high-grown mountains and the lower grown estates give a malty body. A pinch of bergamot and Australian Lemon Myrtle add citrus tones and a sprinkling of lavender gives it something extra special. I first discovered Australian lemon myrtle after joining the Prom Country Bush Foods Association, a group of passionate part-time growers, talking about how to bring native flavours to the wider Australian community, who knew little of them. It was here that I was introduced to the wonderful, emerging world of native Australian flavours including sweet and zesty mountain pepper, exotic and rich quandong, fresh and fragrant round-leaf mint, and my favourite, refreshing and aromatic lemon myrtle.

Perfect Infusion

Let me share my secrets to the perfect cup of tea… Place a pyramid in your favourite cup. Pour in freshly boiled water. Infuse for 3 minutes and inhale the aromas as you slow down and anticipate that first satisfying sip.
