Our Story

Delicate and fragrant, Australian Afternoon Grey offers you a beautiful tea experience in a fast-infusing teabag. Full of the care & quality we are famous for. I’ve used finer cut tea from classic Ceylon estates, added bergamot and Australian lemon myrtle; the perfect partners to this favourite Earl Grey.

Ingredients

Pure Ceylon tea from Kennilworth, Kiruwanganga and Ullswater gardens, Australian lemon myrtle, natural bergamot flavour

Origin

When a dear friend shared that the pace of life left too little time to stop for loose leaf tea, I decided to perfect a fast-infusing black tea, full of the care and quality we are famous for. I started by sourcing finer cut tea – which infuses faster than large leaf – from classic Ceylon estates high in the mountains of Nuwara Eliya and next to the Singaraja rainforest. Then added classic bergamot and Australian lemon myrtle, native to this great country; and the perfect partner to enhance the citrus notes of this classic Earl Grey.

Perfect Infusion

Let me share my secrets to the perfect cup of tea… Place teabag in your favourite cup. Pour in fresh water heated to 95°. Infuse for 1-2 minutes and enjoy black or with a splash of milk.

Reminds me what I've been missing!

After having spent a number of months existing on supermarket brand Earl Grey due to economic and organisational (or lack thereof) reasons, I finally sorted myself our to buy a bundle of boxes of MF Afternoon Grey, which my household had been missing keenly. I'm absolutely dumbfounded as to why I waited so long. The difference in flavour and quality was immediately noticeable. I literally sighed (yes - out loud) at my first sip.
I will not be making the same mistake again of leaving it so long to actually order. Just. SUPERB.
